Thread: Patton $ Online

A discussion about what your dollars get you.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

Thanks. Much appreciated.

I am in 2 AL only and 2 NL only leagues; 3 of them have 10 teams, one AL league has only 8 teams.

The formulas in both 4x4 and 5x5 assume 12 teams, 14 hitters, nine pitchers, $260 budgets. So do the three bids (PK5, MF5, AP4).

If you play in an auction league that has fewer than 12 teams, you'll want to adjust the bids to add up more closely to the league budget. I would do this by raising the bids for the best players, lowering the bids for the worst players (because there's a bigger pool of players in the end game). The same goes for mixed-league auctions.

We track significant changes to the prices and projections in the Patton $ Online data at a Google Sheet linked here. Buyers can see why our data is changing.

Non buyers can see reasons to buy, we hope, and become buyers.

I have no idea why this happens, but it does sometimes. Try right clicking on the Download link and then clicking Save Target as File or something similar to that.

If that doesn't work or you don't see something that seems applicable, send [email protected] info about your computer and browser.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. We'll get it working.

Thanks.  No, when I click on the download excel file link, it takes a second, and it appears, but like hieroglyphics.

Works for me.  Did you download to your computer, then try to open from there?
