Boring Rule V draft since there were only 3 position players and all went to AL teams (via draft or trade).  So boring for an NL-only roto guy since pitchers generally seem to risky to take if they are rule V-ed.  Suarez to the Diamondbacks might be an exception depending on how he is deployed by Arizona.

List and links per MLBTR.

2. Giants – Julian Fernandez, RHP, Rockies

3. Phillies – Nick Burdi, RHP, Twins (traded to Pirates for international bonus space)

4. White Sox – Carlos Tocci, OF, Phillies (traded to Rangers for cash)

5. Reds – Brad Keller, RHP, Diamondbacks (traded to Royals for cash/PTBNL)

6. Mets – Burch Smith, RHP, Rays (traded to Royals for cash/PTBNL)

The players going back to the Marlins in the Ozuna deal.

Magneuris Sierra (probably needs a page since he was up with the Cards and the Marlins are going to be desperate for OF at-bats). M.S. Baseball Refernce Page

Sandy Alcantara Baseball Reference Page

And two others who we probably don't need to worry about too much yet.

Zac Gallen

Daniel Castano

Although Gallen did end up in AAA at the end of the season.

Today is the deadline for teams to offer arbitration or make arbitration eligible players into free agents by "non-tendering" them an arbitration offer.

You will likely see trades (like Boxberger) where the original team feels that the player won't be worth what they get in arbitration, but the trading team does feel the player is worth the likely number.

You will also see signing (like Vogt/Brewers) where the team and player reach an agreement that keeps the player on the team he likes but with a lower 2018 salary.  Sometimes this might includes a multi-year guarantee. Sometimes, it's just the player having to choose if he wants to stay somewhere for less money.

By midnight ET, you'll start seeing names of newly declared free agents trickle out.

One theme this year seems to be players who closed or were top setup men at some point in time in the past, but don't close any more.  Their previous salary got a big bump from closing and their next arbitration salary will be a bump from that. (e.g. Hector Ronden, Cubs; Jared Hughes, Brewers).
