I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Taijuan Walker with a price of $3. What do you think?

That "no exam" is grade a bs. I'm not sure why, but why?

Walker had obvious talent and upside this year. Gone. Good luck coming back. You can do it.

So today I am reading that no exam is scheduled, and hey, he may be ok.  Isn't that what the Padres said about Dinelson Lamet about a week ago?  I hate this game by the teams.  Seems like malpractice to have a guy leave with forearm tightness and not get him looked at right away.  Don't they know we have fantasy lineups to set?

Since we had our league auction April 1st I've lost to injury Myers, Suarez, Knebel, Cueto, Blackmon, Winker, Rendon, and Walker.

Exited his start after 2 innings with forearm tightness.  Owners cringe.

Taijuan Walker (P) AZ - Mar. 23

Walker surrendered three runs on eight hits and no walks across 5.2 innings in Thursday's 3-1 exhibition loss to the White Sox. He struck out seven batters in the 90-pitch outing.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Though he took the loss Thursday and yielded five extra-base hits -- including a Yoan Moncada home run -- in his final start of the Cactus League, Walker was encouraged by the outing and specifically noted that he was pleased with how he located his fastball, per Fabian Ardaya of MLB.com. Walker is expected to start the Diamondbacks' final exhibition against the Indians on Tuesday at Chase Field, giving fantasy owners a glimpse of how he might benefit from the humidor that was installed at the ballpark in February.

The hard throwing former phenom swapped out his cutter for a slider, and solidified his status as an up and coming front half of the rotation piece, albeit in a ballpark that doesn't help him much. He had a 4.18 ERA at Chase, and just a 2.92 ERA on the road. Walker spent time in May and June on the DL with a blister on his finger, which perhaps disrupted him in the first half. He finished with a 3.32 ERA in the second half versus 3.65 in the first half. It is easy to find reasons to lay off Walker, notably the ballpark and struggles he had with command last summer, but he has a live arm and a big game approach. Not someone to chase a breakout from, but there's a good chance it's coming.
