A terrific buy at $8. The challenge here is that because of his fine year, which is pretty close on to my projection, his price is going to climb back into the high teens next spring. He's shown he can do it when he's healthy, but with his always advancing age and a history of injuries, there will always be downside risk no matter his price. This year was a great buy opportunity, next spring will be a game of chicken.

thankfully i didn't post my advice about Aaron Judge here.

Choo was one of six players who homered for me in LABR last night (Martin, Kinsler, Teoscar Hernandez, Gurriel, Alcides Escobar) raising my false hopes for at least another day or two.

This guy was a cheap $8 pick on draft day thanks to Mike G's comment back in March.  He was a late pick thanks to Mike's 82 million reasons.  Another reason this site is so good.

HR #20 last night. He is batting .281 in the second half, and still can steal bases at 35.

Solid roto season.

He's part of my struggling (and sinking offense) in LABR where no one is hitting.

But I still have a shot!

As does almost everyone else. Seven teams are within 5.5 points of first place.

The K/P contingent in the XFL has hit 11 homers in the last two days, 23 so far this week, and what does that get us?

Nothing.

We are still fifth in HR. With 252!

Choo hit his first since July 21. Clearly he's the problem.

Quietly having a solid roto year. Already hitting these bids before the All-Star break.

And expect that BA to rise.

82 million reasons.  I love that and the full time DH mitigating injury concerns.  Am now moving him to my potential value picks list.

He'll be the DH full time or almost full time.

The Rangers have $82 million reasons to run him out there until it's eminently clear he's not a viable major league option.

Help me out here.  I want to be a believer.  I really do.  I know he will be cheaper than $10 in my draft.  34 years old.  Back injury (rarely a good future indicator) and leg injuries (calf and hamstring for an aging speedster) are not good.  As I typically chase value buys in the draft, these are type guys I frequently get burned on.

I would like to be convinced on his upside so I can take him off my do not draft list.
