Curiously, I just finished month by month earnings for hitters and pitchers through the end of August (so far):

Choo was $30, $21, $11, $35, $26, for a $25 through August 31.

Despite his monumental struggles against lefties this year (except for his eye; 217/349/267), he's been reasonably consistent all season: 2-6 HR every month, 6-11 RBI every month, 14-20 R every month, 2-4 SB every month. In my 6x6 (OPS) H2H league, his R and OPS numbers have quietly carried my offense all season, along with Crush and Kipnis in the first half and Soriano and Holliday (again, quietly, when he's been healthy) in the second.

Hit HR #20 tonite- all vs righties.

150 games played, 600 plate appearances, 20 HRs, and 0 HRs vs lefties. This might be an MLB 1st assuming he reaches all of these this year.

Votto read my post and now has one more homer than Choo. But only ten more ribbies. While scoring seven more runs.

Really Dumb Dusty Baker Decision #5000:

Cingrani leads off with a 2b; then Dusty has Choo(.335/.481/.615 vs righties) sacrifice him to 3rd to bring up Cozart(.226/.256/.329 vs righties) who predictably fails to get him home.

Sveum returns the favor by pitching to Votto with 1st base open and 2 outs resulting in a 2-run HR.

2 problems with doing that- 1)Choo is nowhere near a #3 hitter vs lefties and 2)leadoff and #3 aren't really 2 ideal spots for flip flopping players depending on the handness of the pitcher.

The good- Shoo has experience batting 3rd so it wouldn't be an adjustment to him and Votto is going to be Votto no matter what spot he hits in.

Shouldn't Choo be batting third and Votto leading off? As it is, Choo has driven in two more runs.

So far his horrible defense has not affected his bat. By far the worst fielding CF in baseball at the moment.
