OF Ronald Acuña Jr. underwent an MRI today that showed a complete tear of his right ACL. He will undergo season-ending surgery.

Can't make contact against deGrom in the first game, homers in the fifth for the only run by either side in Game 2. Also doubles. The rest of the Braves get two singles.

Easily the second best player on the field.

And his BABIP is only .285 before today's feed.

Ronald Acuna (OF) ATL - Jun. 11
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=784359

Acuna went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, one RBI, a walk and a steal in Friday's 4-3 loss to Miami.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Acuna stuffed the stat sheet as usual, stealing his 12th base of the season and producing his third multi-hit game of June. The 23-year-old slugger is slashing .282/.393/.608 with 31 extra-base hits and 50 runs scored. After not stealing a base for the last 15 games in May, Acuna has already racked up six this month.

Phew.

Ronald Acuna (OF) ATL - Apr. 19

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=771873

Acuna was diagnosed with nothing worse than a mild abdominal strain and is considered day-to-day after undergoing an MRI on Monday.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Losing Acuna, who left Sunday's game against the Cubs with the injury, would be a massive blow for Atlanta, as he's hitting .419 with seven homers and three steals through his first 16 games. Thankfully, he's avoided any serious injury, though it's not yet clear if he'll be in the lineup Tuesday against the Yankees following Monday's off day.

Ronald Acuna (OF) ATL - Apr. 14

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=770950

Acuna went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 23-year-old was basically a one-man show for the Atlanta offense, but his efforts weren't quite enough to drag his club into the win column. Acuna has a six-game hit- and run-scoring streak going, and he's slashing an eye-popping .447/.500/1.000 with six homers, three steals, 12 RBI and 15 runs over his first 12 games of the season.

Acuna went 3-for-6 with a double, two runs, one RBI, two stolen bases and one walk during Wednesday's doubleheader sweep at Washington.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The 23-year-old followed up Tuesday's two-homer performance by going 3-for-4 in Wednesday's matinee to help the Braves snatch their first win of the season. Acuna is 7-for-23 with two home runs, two doubles, four RBI, two stolen bases, two walks and six strikeouts through the first six games of 2021.
