There's no doubt you HAVE to pay for guys tomorrow night if you want good stats.
Alternatively, here's the top 15 salaries paid at last year's auction:

Tulo 49
Hanley 43
Wright 34
Cuddyer 33
Chris Young 30
Lincecum 30
Heyward 29
Melky 29
Tommy Hanson 28
Werth 26
Josh Johnson 24
Gio 24
Jose Tabata 24
Papelbon 23
Mesoraco 23

What's that? 4 or 5 good ones out of 15. And many of the bad ones were DISASTERS.

Spend away, spenders. Me and Bronson Arroyo and Travis Wood and Luis Cruz and Mark Ellis will be just fine. (Wow. It actually physically hurt to type that).

Less than 24 hours to go, but yeah, it's going to be ugly. Lots of inflation.

I'm usually a multiplier when it comes to inflation, but I might have to use adding this year or I'll have too many high priced nothing players and miss out on all the big game.

My exacting formulas have Tulo at $50.38 and Wright at $48.63.

I have to make up for the loss of Hart, Headley, and Ludwick somehow.

On the plus side, Weeks just got his 4th hit of the season, a number he reached on June 3rd last year (approximately).

Lynch's Cruz comment makes me want to create a fun game: Guess the worst player that will go for double digits tomorrow night.

My guess: John Buck.

Making me laugh, Howard, but also making me feel less crazy for trading to get Polanco at 5 (who will, now that I've typed this promptly break his knee).

He better go for more than that, or somebody will be paying double digits for Luis Cruz ... just sayin' ...

Whew. Where were you guys last couple of years when people like me bid, and got, Tulo at 49? Could you save me some mock auction time and tell me you will also bid Wright up to 49 or so?

I wouldn't say $52.

Make sure you leave at least $50 for Tulowitski, 'cause that's what I got him at.

Eh, who am I kidding? I'll probably say $51 if pushed.

Thirty hours to draft ... real question is if I will sleep at all tonight.

Ran a "mock draft" using Toutx1.5 as the league bids and liked what I got, but I'm not sure that is a great indicator.

Maybe I need to run one with the league bidding 1.5x max of CBS, Tout, LABR.
