Thread: Patton & Co. League

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!
I have news for you. All expert ratings are wrong. For your league what you know is way more important than what Nando says.

But Nando is a thoughtful analyst. He's a good guy to follow. It helps that he's funny.

I think onRoto has a trade evaluation service based on either their projections or baseballHQ's.

But I agree that the visual presentation isn't always helpful.

Does onroto.com have a trade evaluation service offered? They offer so much it was a bit overwhelming.

They did the same thing for football and all 3 of the writers were woefully wrong.

cbs.sports has their downloadable draft kit out now and instead of 1 set of rankings they have rankings by 3 different writers.

We are still looking for one new owner in PCL. You can go to the second page of comments to see the whole team that is available but the highlights are Ev Cabrera, Goldschmidt, and several others.

Since none of the contributors have stepped up as wanting to join, we like to have at least a PCL reader if possible so if you are reading this you qualify.

The league is a 12 team 23 roster NL only with a 260 cap and a 10 man reserve roster. Stat fees are about $20 ($15+league safe) + $150 for the prize pool.

If you are interested or have questions, please contact me this week at kostby -- at -- gmail.

I can also vouch for OnRoto.

My dislike for CBSsports stems from running Tout Wars on their platform a few years ago. I found the commissioner tools to be unbearably clunky, making things that were one click at All Star into three clicks. I wrote notes and memos and passed them along, and they did give the appearance of listening, but the next year things were just as bad. They may well be better now, I know they've invested in the platform, but the taste in my mouth comes from two years of horrid swatting.

And the pleasure of working with onRoto makes it unnecessary to look elsewhere.

Well, we're giving CBS a shot, because All Star Stats (who we used for years, and were very happy with) is getting out, and the first year with CBS is free, but I'm not encouraged by the comments below . . .

In my home league we switched to CBS from TQStats when they had their challenges in the mid-2000's and have been very happy. Any changes we've requested have been dealt with in a professional and very accomodating manner and we've been very satisfied with the services they've provided. Just curious as to the reasons for the CBS dislike.
