Posting his best walk rate since his 2015 debut.

Mike Landau ML-

He's been pounding a lot of balls out of the park recently.  He missed a lot of time for his foot infection.  If he hadn't missed any, he might be challenging Trout for the top spot in HR.

The average has been brutal, but the power has been legit.  Other than way too many fly balls, I wonder what the issue is with his swing.  Anyone watch the Twins regularly?

Clubbed two of the Twins' eight homers in Anaheim yesterday.

On the first the announcer says, "Crushed to left field and deep. That ball's going to land... in Los Angeles."

By the time Sano hits his second, the announcer is pretty much out of home tun calls. "Fly ball to deep left... and Sano has two today."

When Tommy LaStella hits a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth, the announcer is done describing them. "Well, another home run in this ball game. And now it is 16 to 7."

Twins activated 3B Miguel Sano from the 10-day injured list.

Sano missed the first seven weeks of the 2019 regular season while recovering from a debridement procedure for a laceration on his right heel. He batted .316/.364/.579 with two home runs, four doubles, and nine RBI in 10 minor league rehab games between High-A Fort Myers, Double-A Pensacola, and Triple-A Rochester, and will try to stay hot in his return to Minnesota. Marwin Gonzalez has turned it on recently, so those two might share time at third base initially. Willians Astudillo is actually starting at the hot corner on Wednesday afternoon against the Angels, but he'll be needed more behind the plate with Mitch Garver (ankle) on the shelf.

I think he's not having enough of a challenge at rehab, playing at high-A and now AA.  So far he's hitting 455/533/1000 on his assignment.  That said, he does have 4 Ks in 11 AB. If he is running normally, I would expect him to be activated relatively soon. If he still can't run at full speed, I guess he will be down a bit longer.

Miguel Sano (3B) MIN - Feb. 19

Sano was spotted Tuesday with a boot on his right foot to protect the laceration on his heel, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While players often use walking boots when tending to sprains, bone or ligament damage pertaining to the foot, Sano appears to be using his mainly for precautionary purposes. Since the cut on the back of his foot is fairly sizable and keeps reopening, Sano will use the boot to keep his bandaging over the wound in place. The Twins could limit Sano's fielding and baserunning work early in camp as a result, but the injury is nothing that should jeopardize his availability for Opening Day.
