Not sure why I totally missed the boat on Estrada who fell to the Hackers on the sixth round of the Reserve draft in the ADL. The key quote that I should have heeded came from a spring training interview: "Last season, the whole middle half of my body wasn't working."

The color commentators for the game kept saying that his changeup and the differential in speed between that and his adequate fastball is so significant that batters can't adjust.

His fastball last night topped out at 88 and usually was 86.
Weird thought: batters are so geared to seeing mid-90s fastballs that Marco will be more effective?
I wasn't willing to test that theory last Sunday in the ADL. To tell the truth, I didn't think of it until now.
