Kole Calhoun (OF) AZ - Sep. 17
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=807351

Calhoun went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks Friday in a loss to the Astros.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The veteran outfielder was activated from the injured list earlier Friday after missing over a month with a hamstring strain. He broke a scoreless tie with his solo shot in the sixth inning and also drew two free passes. It has been an injury-plagued season for Calhoun, who has been limited to 37 games and 145 plate appearances. He has only four homers on the campaign, putting into serious peril his streak of seven straight seasons with double-digit long balls.

My mascot for all six of my teams (including doubt wars) started his rehab assignment with a bang -- 2 homers in 3 at-bats at AAA Reno.

I'm betting on Calhoun again this year. I have him in all five leagues plus Doubt Wars. As Calhoun goes, so goes the empire.

Kole Calhoun (OF) AZ - Mar. 04

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=764146

Calhoun said Thursday that his expected recovery timeline from knee surgery was 4-to-6 weeks, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Calhoun underwent surgery to address a torn meniscus Wednesday. The timeline implies that he should be able to return sometime in April, though he's still very likely to need at least a brief trip to the injured list. The Diamondbacks have a slew of options that will get at-bats in right field during the rest of spring training, including Tim Locastro (illness),  Wyatt Mathisen, Pavin Smith, Trayce Thompson, Josh VanMeter, Daulton Varsho and Andrew Young.

Statcast's xBA is based on where the ball is hit and how hard. I assume that's based on standard defensive positioning, so a player who does a lot of one thing might have a better xBA because the defense is adjusting. But I'm not sure of that.

Does xBA take into account his extremely high Pull%?

That batting average is based on my expected batting average method, which is not as sophisticated as the Statcast version. Statcast says his career xBA is .253 and in recent years more like .245-250. But that's splitting hairs. I'm not sure how to resolve the conflict between about 1230 recent at bats with a batting average below .225 and an xBA 25 points higher. Maybe there is something wrong with Calhoun (apart from the fact that his parents chose Kole instead of Cole as his first name). That discord is fine if you're a Clemens, but alliteration is alluring. But I'm betting (Alex and I have him in the XFL) that the statistical fault here lies in the stars.
