He's now leading the league in Bavg and OBP (by a wide margin). It's a shame he was out early in the year with Covid. I think it robbed him of his strength initially. in the second half he's hitting even better than last season. Second half split 372/538/678. OPS+ 230.
Unless you're in your 70s or 80s, you never saw Ted Williams play. And, even then, there weren't too many games on TV. Watch Soto. Look what he's done at age 21 and 22. He's as close to Williams as there's ever been.

Rotoworld:
09.12: Juan Soto went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a pair of walks on Sundayin the Nationals' win over the Pirates. (Soto has been a certifiable on-base machine in the second half. He reached base safely in four of his five plate appearances in this one. The 22-year-old fantasy superstar owns a stratospheric .311/.457/.528 triple-slash line with 97 runs scored, 25 home runs, 83 RBI and nine stolen bases across 565 plate appearances this season.)

Four true outcomes -- all of them walks -- in five AB last night. When they pitched to him he hit a bingle to collect a ribbie.

Rotowire:
Soto took Miami starter Elieser Hernandez deep in the fifth inning to get the Nationals on the board, cutting their deficit to 6-2. The long ball, his 21st of the season, ended Soto's brief skid of five games without an extra-base hit.

What some call fun I call foolish.
From Rotoworld:
07.07: Juan Soto will participate in the 2021 Home Run Derby. (Fun. Soto hasn't exactly been a basher of the baseball in terms of power
this year, but the 22-year-old is capable of putting on a show in
batting practice and obviously has the power to compete in this event.
With awesome stories like Trey Mancini and Shohei Ohtani participating
-- among others -- this is shaping up to be one of the most interesting
Home Run Derbys in a while. )

His 10th HR and fifth CS.
You have to think his second half slash stats will be great.
Right now: .277/.395/.438.
