We picked him up for $3 in the XFL. Not the first coward/a$$hole/bum that I've owned....and undoubtedly won't be the last.

I think he's going to be an opportunity for anyone willing to have a coward / a$$hole / bum on their roster ... because there will be some owners who will not forget his beaning of Acuna ...

That seems about right, his improvements last year will mean he should get at least $9.

I'm working on Big Prices for the Guide. Today I have Jose Urena with a price of $9. What do you think?

All after the kerfuffle with the Braves.

One run in six IP for win No. 9. Five of them in five September starts, during which he's allowed four earned runs.

I sat him this week so this was bound to happen.

5,931 fans, a few of them probably snowbirds from Colorado, watched Urena lose 1-0 to the Rockies in Miami. First-pitch strikes to 20 of 26 batters. The only walk he allowed was intentional. The only run he allowed came when the opposing pitcher -- a relief pitcher at that -- followed the IBB with a grounder over third, scoring the runner from second. Urena got seven more outs before giving way to a pinch hitter in the eighth.

Jose Urena (P) MIA - Mar. 14

Urena failed to escape the first inning in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against
the Cardinals, recording only one out and allowing six runs on six hits and two
walks.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: At least the out came on a strikeout, but otherwise there was nothing to like about this outing from Urena. It won't affect his assignment as
the Marlins' Opening Day starter, but the right-hander now has a 7:6 K:BB through
7.1 spring innings, and he'll need to sharpen his control if he wants to avoid having
last year's 3.82 ERA regress to something closer to his 5.24 FIP.

Jose Urena (P) MIA - Mar. 4

Urena tossed two scoreless innings in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against
the Mets, giving up one hit and one walk while striking out two.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He has yet to allow a run in four spring innings with a 4:2
K:BB. Urena is one of only two Marlins pitchers who headed into camp with a rotation
spot locked down, but he doesn't appear to be resting on his laurels.
