A jaw-dropper. He went up there planning to wail on the first pitch, I'm guessing.

Lol I fabbed him too. Deep NL only.

I fabbed him in my home league ... so yeah, I'm rooting for him (especially if he starts running!) ... but both singles today were hard grounders that ate Maikel Franco (a career negative dWAR third baseman) up.

If Franco makes the play on just one of those Peraza is batting .231.

He's now hitting .308 ... what's the problem?

What the heck happened to this guy? I guess 2018 was big outlier?

Up because of the Davis injury.  Not sure what role Jonathan Villar very-lite can play (worse offensively, much worse defensively, but lots of speed) on a team that already has Jonathan Villar - but I guess this gives the Mets opportunity to put him in the Villar role while Villar mans 3B for the next week or so?

That said, Villar has struck out 5 times in 7 AB since taking over the 3B job ...

I fixed the Gothams thing. Seems if his team is coded OTH he gets Gothams. It hasn't come up much, if at all, but it did here. It shouldn't.

In the next release, out tomorrow unless disaster strikes (both Mike and Alex's internet was down all day today), I have the Peraza projection at $4, my bid as R3 (meaning he's not someone to buy on draft day, but someone who might have value during the season), Alex's 4x4 bid is $4. If you want to bid $1 Alex gives you permission.

But I think the key lesson here is we offer up a lot of options, but you have to decide which 168 hitters you want to have positive value, and which 108 pitchers have that.

And you have to recognize that in the end game you need more than one choice for your $1 or $2 players. Do you need steals, saves, homers, batting average? There isn't much of any of that in the end game, but there are tendencies.

Peraza is in a tough position with the Gothams, I mean Mets, but it wasn't that long ago he was productive and pricey. And if things go wrong for the Gothams, sorry, I mean Mets, maybe he gets a chance to play and earns $20. That could happen. But you have to decide about all the other similar scenarios that you can imagine and how they compare.

I can't because they're all vanishingly improbable, but when you hit the right one? Bonanza. We're happy to give you ideas, but you have to choose.

It's fixed now, his team after his name in search was New York Gothams.  What about my other question, the Rotoman projection is $5 for 4x4.  Wouldn't that qualify for at least a $1 bid?

I'm not sure what you're looking at MMM. Peraza is in the 3/11 spreadsheet as a member of the Mets. Not sure where the Gothams came from. Not a joke, but funny.
