Agreed.  It's the ball.

22,000 in Target Field gasp -- most with delight, a few with dread -- as the ball leaves Miranda's bat with two out in the 11th, Twins down a run, the phantom runner on, and begins its climb.

It's the new baseball, guys, and the ball comes down on the warning track. The Guardians move ahead of the Twins by percentage points.

Got the call, with Garlick heading to the IL.  Should be in the lineup today in Bmore.

Jose Miranda (3B) MIN - Mar. 26
https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=14334

Miranda (jaw) entered Saturday's game against Atlanta as a substitute, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Miranda left Friday's game against the Pirates with a bruised jaw after getting struck in the face by an errant throw, but he avoided serious injury. He's back in action just one day later, so he should be able to continue making his push for an Opening Day roster spot. Whether or not he'll be given a legitimate chance to break camp with the team is unclear, but he could eventually be part of the plan to replace Josh Donaldson at third base.

The Pinder comment reminded me of this guy, who would seem to be a candidate to go to the A's in a Montas or Manaea trade.
