40 percent CSW.

Called strikes plus whiffs.

Counting foul balls, he threw 63 of 91 pitched for strikes. Before the stat feed he has a .272 BABIP. Also a 45/23/32 G/L/F, which three balls put in play isn't going to change much, if at all.

From the AP recap:

SAN DIEGO -- — The last time the San Diego Padres swept the Los Angeles Dodgers at Petco Park, in September 2010, right-hander Joe Musgrove was just starting his senior year at Grossmont High in suburban El Cajon.

... The game ended in front of a sellout crowd of 43,961 when pinch-hitter Albert Pujols lined out to third baseman Manny Machado, who finished off a tremendous series defensively by doubling Will Smith off second. That earned Mark Melancon his major league-leading 23rd save.

Posting Stieb's no hitter, reminds me, didn't he have back to back perfect games or at least no hitters going that were broken up with two outs in the 9th?

How hard is a Maddux?

Musgrove missed by 13.

Padres First No-Hitter!

Until Joe Musgrove's incredible performance yesterday, the San Diego Padres were the only team in Major League Baseball without a no-hitter in their history; the franchise's first season was 1969.

With that out of the way, here is the list of teams with the most time passed since their last no-hitter:

Cleveland Indians: Len Barker, 1981
Milwaukee Brewers: Juan Nieves, 1987
Toronto Blue Jays: Dave Stieb, 1990

Also, note that the last ML no hitter had Caratini as the catcher.

Was this the first time a no hitter was thrown where the only batter that reached was via hit batsmen.
