Big sigh of relief. It looked a whole lot worse.

Rotoworld:

08.13: Jeff McNeil was diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left knee.  (McNeil is day-to-day. The 28-year-old had to be carted off the field against
the Nationals on Thursday after running into the wall while making a
fantastic grab in the first inning. He may need to sit a couple of days,
but the good news is it appears McNeil has avoided a serious injury. )

Someone is going to hit .400. Probably won't be Jeff McNeil, but if I have to pick the someone, he's who I'm picking.

Second choice is Altuve.

With no pitchers batting and lots of bad pitchers pitching, I predict the major league batting average is going to be around .265.

Uh-oh.

Jeff McNeil (2B) NY-N - Mar. 06

https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=738965

McNeil was sent back to his Port St. Lucie lodgings Friday due to having flu-like symptoms, Anthony Rieber of Newsday Sports reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: McNeil did not play in Friday's game against Houston and given that he had to be sent home from the team's facility, it seems possible that he could be out of the lineup for a few days.
