.395-9-4-16-5 over the last two weeks. Keeping the Fishers in the game in PCL---a reserve pick who looks like his 2023 option is getting picked up....

The draft classes of 2018, 2019, and 2020 are going to be tough as so many of the kids lost serious playing time in what should have been developmental years. As a result I believe we're going to see a fair number (more than the norm) of 26-thru-28 year old "rookies" in the next several years that could prove to be very solid players.

It's the McCarthy's of the world that make playing roto tough. Bought him as a minor leaguer in 2020, owned him in 2021, cut him over the winter and HELLO.

I'm in first for now (by a half-point) despite Soto, in part because of guys like Josh Rojas, Christian Morel, and McCarthy. Whom I just dumped for Christian Walker, as I have a huge lead in SB but need some HR down the stretch..

Has almost as much 4x4 value as Juan Soto. While this is as much a testament as to how bad Soto has been (relative to the $40+ I paid for him at auction), it is still noteworthy.

On the subject of to-date earnings, I have heard reference to FanGraphs in-season value by various pundits, but I cannot find this feature anywhere on the site. Anyone know where to look? I like to look at different source of roto value for comparison purposes.

In his last 39 AB he's slashing .385/.444/.667 with three steals.

Rotoworld:

08.31: Jake McCarthy went 2-for-5 with a two-run triple and a three-run home run in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the Phillies. (McCarthy
managed the two most difficult legs of the cycle on Tuesday evening,
but came up short on the double and single fronts when all was said and
done. Over the course of 208 at-bats this season, the 25-year-old
outfielder is batting a respectable .288/.349/.447 with five home runs,
30 RBI and 12 steals.)

I'd keep McCarthy until I see Rosario get hot.  Braves more likely to add a hitter this week.

He's supposed to start now that the Snakes dealt Peralta. Worth dropping E. Rosario for him?

Luplow going on the DL may open up a roster spot for this potential thieving 5th OF. Or the less roto interesting Cooper Hummel.
