Closest to Hosmer's slash stats is Andrelton Simmons .251/.290/.353. BABIP .265 G/L/F 51/15/34.

All four of Homser's hits yesterday are hard-hit grounders to the the right side of the infield. Good chance he'd go 0-for-4 with the shift on.

His 54/15/32 G/L/F in the first half pretty much tells the story. In 83 games he has 21 doubles and four homers. He's scored 36 runs, driven in 35 and stolen two bases (in three attempts). His slash stats: .254/.295/.351. He's walked 20 times and fanned 61 times. His BABIP is an even .300.

$6 in both formats.

Not sure where the HR are, but he is #2 in the league in doubles, so he's hitting it with some authority. Maybe he'll get some loft later in the year as it heats up. KC is hitting no HR.

Maybe another case of someone worrying about beating the shift more than driving the ball with authority and putting runs on the scoreboard. That's what I've seen from Matt Adams up until the last week.

Where's the power?

I thought he would take another step forward this year, and become a 20 home run guy, but looks like I am wrong on Hosmer again.

And to make things even worse, he's not running this year.

So you're not that confident?

I like the strategy and the team. I'm keeping Hosmer 24 and Tillman 9 in tomorrow's ADL auction.

Paid $29 for Hosmer at last nights auction. Bet the owner who paid $27 for Pujols that he'd have more earnings head to head. Loser wears a tuxedo to next years draft. He proposed dresses and the bet. I declined. His second offer was tuxes. I couldn't pass it up.

Only 5 keepers marked w an x.
