Thread: Doubt Wars

Very low maintenance! We trash talk here.

Welcome! You are invited to wander around and read all of the comments that have been posted here at Patton & Co., but as soon as you register you can see the bid limits that Alex, Peter and Mike propose for each player, and you can post your own comments. Registering is free, so please join us!

Based upon my previous Doubt Wars experience, this race is long over ...

20 points with only 2 weeks to go?

2020 is odd ... but not that odd ...

What's odd is looking at DW winning teams ... they always seem VERY unspectacular ...

Doubt Wars has become my favorite form of Rotisserie Baseball :-)

And so ... my vision for the future ... something DoubtWars-like that's "daily" ... ie. each day, you (re)set your player valuations ... and a robo-auctioneer conducts an auction ... and the "season winner" is the owner who does the best cumulative during the course of the season ... there's something there that gets to the heart of roto ... without all the rules and dumping and trading bs ... imo ... ymmv ...

Davies basically neutralizes Ray leaving a combined 1.38/4.44 and a lot of strikeouts.
From there Hendricks, Wainwright, and Corbin bring the WHIP/ERA down into a better position.

How did you survive Robbie Ray?

I can tell you I haven't survived Jo Adell.

1) Shared Hitters -- Wil Myers and Sam Hilliard.
Shared Pitchers -- Zach Davies and Robbie Ray (sorry Howard about Ray).
2) Howard punted saves. I focused on power and Lorenzo Cain killed my stolen base chance so it looks like I punted saves.
3) My plan was to avoid huge name players and try to get the high teens hitters and low teens pitchers. Kole Calhoun is on all 5 of my teams which are all in the 3rd to 6th.

C: Gomes, Ramos

IF: Bell, Segura, Anderson, Galvis, D'Arnaud, Ahmed

OF: Pollack, Hilliard, Cain, Myers, Winker, Calhoun

P: Hendricks, Ray, Davies, Wainright, Quintana, Corbin, Gant, Kintzler, Jansen,

Go Kent -- stay ahead of the mob!

Let's see your rosters, please. At least the highlights. How many players do you share?

I'm going to guess that my big-ticket item in another Doubt league, Yelich, isn't one of them.

Well dog, you now know where Alex's allegiance lies.
