Dominic Smith, 1b, Mets. One of the big questions facing Smith’s development is whether he’ll hit for power. His stocky frame and balanced setup certainly portend power, but he’s been more hit than power through his pro career. He seems to be turning the corner this year. Smith had his first two-homer game Saturday, going 4-for-4 for Double-A Binghamton in a 9-2 win over New Hampshire (Blue Jays). Smith hit six homers all of last season. He has that many since June 24 and has 10 overall.
