Signs on with the Yakult Swallows for 2021. With the number of players looking for work, signing early makes a lot of sense. There is only so much room in Korea and Japan for import players.

When he's been good, he's been very very good (.850 first half OPS, .875 OPS in 2017, 1.367 OPS in 2018 in late season callback)
When he's been bad, he's been very very bad (..468 second half OPS, .667 first half OPS in 2018 before being sent down)
Last June his agent should have walked into the Seattle front office and offered to sign a 3 year deal for $10 mil or so (he was under club control until 2022) ... they'd probably have bit. Right now he's an NRI target.

At the All-Star break he was batting .286 with 18 home runs.
On Dec. 2 he was non-tendered.
Today he is still looking for a job.
