.359 BABIP 27.5% HR/Fly 30.1 LD% 5.0% InfFly...he had ALL THIS going for him and could only muster a .256 avg.  He may be paying Rob Deer a visit at the Dept of Batting Average with regression due his direction.

To the DL with a sore right elbow. Just a week after being out for 15 days with a strained right shoulder. Can't be good.

I bought him for $12 in CBS. He went for more in LABR and Tout, but I didn't move him past my $14 bid limit. I see the upside but there's a lot of crash-and-burn in his profile.

If they keep leading him off, I'd dock him in 4x4. No runs value, and the RBI in front of the pitcher and the bottom of the lineup is probably going to suck.

The current bids: PK5 15,  MF5, AP4 10.

How did I fall behind everyone?

Somehow I did. But I have one last chance to get on the good side.

And I will.

If these are your bids in the software, they're too low.

As Peter, Mike and I fine tune our bids today for the LAST UPDATE, I'm also trying to get the batting orders and pitching rotations right. What to make of Domingo batting first so far?

Got the bat on the ball four times yesterday against Cueto and Romo, one of them a line out. Had two hits and two K's in the the first game. Hasn't walked yet.

Yep.  To me, Santana hasn't gotten near demonstrating the plate discipline needed to be a major league regular ... and I could easily see him back in AAA in June, despite the paucity of options in the Milwaukee system.

Yes, he takes walks, and that OBP looks nice.  But guys with that kind of strikeout rate end up with huge error bars, and if super-two time comes with him batting sub-.200 we might see both Arcia and Michael Reed get called up, with Villar moving to a super-utility role that includes regular OF time, and a longish stint in AAA for Santana mid-year would definitely eat a big chunk out of his value.  I'd caution against getting too carried away just yet.

Domingo Santana AND Chris Carter in the same lineup?  Sign me up for whoever's pitching against the Brewers in DFS!  (at least until May, when Fanduel will cease operations in Texas thanks to pressure from the limited-government Republican Attorney General ).

At $15 is he still a stretch as an nl only 5x5 keeper?

I like him better than you all do, but agree $17 is too much.

He improved his strikeout rate last year. :>)
