They fell in last night (three singles and a double) but it does seem like big data has done the impossible: figure out how to place fielders when Fletcher is at the plate. I've watched him get robbed time and again.

His crazy hit seven days ago did not bode well for Fletcher. In what seems like an impossibility, he went 0-for-17 this week.

Takes strike one, then strike two, then hits the next pitch, which is at eye level and inside, between the first baseman and the bag for a single.

It's not on the highlights but it should be.

AI may call it a line drive. Watch the video to get a different perspective.

But it's what he does.

I'm not seeing too many bargains in LABR but $9 for Fletcher seems like one of them. If he just performs to Peter's projection (.299 in 586 AB, for those of you who don't subscribe), he ensures your team is in the top half in batting average, even if you buy Joey Gallo.

To put it another way, buy Fletcher for a reasonable price (he cost $14 in CBS), then make sure you buy Joey Gallo.
