For a player like Dahl, going into 2020 ... how much do you have to factor in the reality that the guy is likely going to miss 20-40 games a year?

.445 at home

.352 on the road

.381 bases empty

.435 runners on

.531 with runner on 1st or 1st and 2nd.

Actually, as a Dahl owner I love to see that.

Although it makes me wonder - they've been shifting on him, and he's still got a .404 BABIP?  WTF?

Stuck his bat out and rolled the ball over the third base bag to beat the shift.

Grand salamies are fun but, if you have no vested interest in Dahl or the Rockies -- just the game -- seeing that is more fun.

Grand salamied his way into the 10 HR club today.

Two singles and double against Cole Hamel this afternoon in Coors. No one else seemed to be able to pick up his pitches.

The balls continue to fall in for Dahl at well above a .400 clip.

Three hits, including his third homer, to raise his batting average to .333.

Before we get today's stat feed, his BABIP is .462.

Uh-oh... I knew I shouldn't put him on my Doubt Wars team but I could't resist.

David Dahl (OF) COL - Apr. 8

Dahl has a "slight" core injury in his lower abdomen, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: The exact nature of the injury remains unclear, but manager Bud Black did not describe it as a serious one. He's not starting Monday against Atlanta but could still avoid a trip to the injured list. Raimel Tapia starts in his place and will likely feature on a regular basis until Dahl is able to return.

Their saying on MLB he gained 15 pounds over the winter. If he did, none of it's fat.

The injury risk, which I agree borders on the ridiculous, weighs more heavily if you play in an NL-only. If you play in a mixie, you have a pretty good replacement on your reserve list. What you want is Dahl's production while he's healthy; whatever his ADP is now (I don't really follow this, though I should), move him a full round higher on your list.
