It was strange that they waited until he was able to pitch in AAA, but never assigned him there.

Bubic looked good, though.

What did they see at the alternate training site that made them think he was ready?

Mistake.

A maybe yes, maybe no debut. 74 pitches, 46 for strikes. On only seven did batters take a hack and miss completely. As we see by the G/L/F, good contact was made. His four-seamer topped out at 96, got slower as he went along. Sliders ranged 85-87; looked less than lethal as I watched the condensed game. He showed a changeup and curve.

Pretty much the opposite of what I expected when, after thinking long and hard (I have no place to go but but down in the qualitatives but need innings), I activated him yesterday. The expectation being he'd be great or he'd be terrible.

Daniel Lynch's account of the game: “I felt like I could barely see, I was so juiced up. It was just a really amazing experience.”

I think I have to give him another chance, don't you?

In CBS analysts AL league - one team dropped 51 out of 100 FAAB units on him last night.

Getting the call and will be facing off at home against the Indians and ChiSox this week. It appears that the Royals are moving Jake Junis to the bullpen.

The bevy includes Asa Lacy, Jackson Kowar, Kris Bubic and Jonathan Bowlan.

Notes:

Final 2020 Ranking: 36
Tools: Fastball: 70 | Curveball: 50 | Slider: 60 | Changeup: 55 | Control: 55
Skinny: Lynch has loud stuff with a mid-90s fastball and two swing-and-miss secondaries from the left side. He’s potentially the best of the Royals bevy of young pitchers.
