Poor guy can't stay healthy.  He looked like hew as going to get close to a $30 season and instead earned just short of most of these bids.  He also was crushing doubles.  I can see him earning $30 one year, but we just don't know which one.  Most years he will probably disappoint due to injuries.

I think the Twins are going to have to wrap him in bubble wrap.  He's gone on the DL three times this year.  At least two times have been due to crashing into the wall in the OF.  It might have been all three.

Hit his 3rd HR last night.  He's earned half of Peter's projection already.  But, a lot of that is his positive batting average compared to the projected negative batting average. Looking a lot like his 2015 season in AA so far when he was on top of the prospect lists.

He's never been much of a doubles hitter, but this year, he's got 17 already.  What's changed?  He's hitting the ball in the air significantly more often so far this year.

When he hit his triple, he was almost running too fast to make the turns around the bases.  I can't believe how much kick he gets when he runs the bases.  He had rounded third before the ball came back into the infield.  It was obvious he was thinking about an inside the park HR as soon as he left the box.

If you don't think last year was a slow start, injuries, but also service time manipulation too, you haven't been paying attention.  If the Twins are playing for this year, which they appear to be, he's the best defensive CF they could possibly have.  They will play him.  Which means he will steal bases.  And, if he hits at all, he will connect on at least a dozen HR.

Homered and doubled today. My bid's going up. It's not enough to be the leader of the pack here. So much upside I'm going to make someone pay 20.

Byron Buxton (OF) MIN - Feb. 23

Buxton went 2-for-2 with a home run and five RBI in his first spring training game in Saturday's win over Tampa Bay.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: While it's just one exhibition game, it's a great sign to see Buxton healthy and off to a good start. He began last season by missing time with recurring migraines and played through a hairline fracture in his left big toe, which resulted in him being sent to the minors after hitting just .122 in 17 games. Then he missed several weeks with a wrist injury...

Byron Buxton (OF) MIN - Jan. 27

Buxton has added 21 pounds in the offseason in an effort to keep himself healthy, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "If I want to play the way that I want to play and run into walls, I've got to have a little bit more cushion," Buxton said. "So I just put it in the back of my head to put on some pounds."

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Buxton said he hopes to keep his weight above 200 pounds at the start of the regular season. He began last season by missing time with recurring migraines and played through a hairline fracture in his left big toe, which resulted in him being sent to the minors after hitting just .122 in 17 games. Then he missed several weeks with a wrist injury. When finally healthy, he hit .311 with three homers and a .901 OPS over 23 games at Triple-A Rochester, but Minnesota manipulated his service time and did not call him up in September. However, the Twins said after the season he'll be the starter in center field.
