Hell ... the Dodgers seem ready to change closers any time Jansen's heart goes "thump thump thumpaty thump" instead of "thump thump thump thump" ...

Love this guy as a late round cheapie in the $5 range. Lots of strikeouts and likely to pick up a handful of saves that could give your roto team a point in a close pennant race.

Does anyone out there have any insight into Mattingly's use of a back-up closer when Jansen has pitched 2 or 3 days in a row.

Re-signing with LA ... which will probably be one more headache in the unending series of headaches for Kenley Jansen owners.

Or possibly the Reds if Chapman moves into the rotation.

On my way to a 10th place finish in the PCL, I picked him up in the last FAAB for $9 with the hope he closes next year. (that's the last FAAB before all salaries are a minimum $25)

Fingers crossed he stays in the NL. Any openings? Arizona? Chicago? Milwaukee? I'll be watching and hoping.

Speaking of potential closers ... if Wilson's 0.66 ERA in only 13 IP didn't turn some heads, his 6 IP/8K/0 run performances in the Division and LCS probably did.

Tweets the twit from Arizona one night, pitches yet another scoreless inning the next. On both fronts, he's just what the Dodgers need.

Committed, I would say.

But if the Yankees don't have to pay A-Rod, aren't they suddenly a country mile under the luxury tax? I haven't read anything about that; it would seem, though, they'll be able to buy anyone they want.

Is Koji a free agent?

Is he someone the Yankees would gamble on or are they committed to Robertson next year?
