Nor does my NL-only league. We add the traded player's salary to the owner's FAAB budget.

My NL only league doesn't allow stats accumulated after interleague trade.

Are there still AL Only leagues that don't allow you to keep the stats of a player traded out of the league until the end of the season?

I like the mathematical approach to the situation. Well done.

The way that I calculate situations like Dozier's is to start by assuming that he would play, at least, 60 percent of the season with the Twins, which takes us to the trade deadline. At that point, I would figure there was an even chance that he would be traded. If traded, there would be an even chance he stayed in the AL. So that's 60 percent definitely with the Twins plus another 20 percent that he doesn't get traded at the deadline and another 10 percent that, if traded, it's to the AL. That's 90 percent, which means I'd discount his Draft Day price by 10 percent for the uncertainty.

What a season. Especially after doing next to nothing the first 2 months of the year.

For those of us who play AL-only, would you discount Dozier due to the trade possibility? Or is that past now that the Dodgers have obtained Forsythe?

I have Dozier at $25 and am hoping to keep him.

Last year he hits 14 HR before the All Star break and 28 after. It would be interesting to see a study of all players who hit at least twice as high HR rate after the break as before(min. 10 pre break HR) and see if their season HR total the next season went up or down.

My guess on Dozier is his HR total in 2017 will be around 30 because I just don't see him having another 25+ HR half.

Note: the pre break is generally 8-10 more games than post.

I had hoped to build around him at $15 in an AL Only league so he'll almost surely be traded to the NL. I'm still in search of a 24 team Mixed league.

When a team asks for firm and final offers on a player from multiple teams, it seems like he is gone no matter what.  The Twins have been in-between for a few years.  With Buxton, Kepler, and Sano playing everyday, plus Berrios, presumably up for good, the Twins need to fully embrace 2019-21 as their target window.
