Would you have guessed the Giants hit the most home run in the National League this season?

Well, they did.

Brandon Crawford just hit their third tonight.

I don't have the math to back it up, but it definitely seems like there are a lot of "tightness" injuries this year (quad, hammy, groin). I'm not sure it's more than usual, but it seems like it.

The season has already been dubbed "the year batting average died."

Not to panic or anything, Brandon, but you need a hot streak just to get your average up to .200.

For the record, after 12 games he is batting .158.

Because he doesn't strike out too much by today's standards (K% 22) and three of his six hits have cleared the fence, his BABIP is even lower (.115) than his batting average and his slugging average (.447) is 54 points higher than his career slugging average.

I had 5 MIs in a 2-UT league last year. It's all about value at the end.

That, and pretty much no MIs will end up in the utility slot.
