What's this? A solid start from Hoch? He was working in and around the plate, mixing pitches well tonight, putting the ball where he wanted it. He's capable of more such starts, if he could only find more consistency. He's a lot of work to do to earn Peter's $7 bid, though.

Two Picks in the upcoming Guide, both of which take notice of his strong second half (6-3, 3.52 ERA, 1.13 WHIP Post All-Star). Minnix says, "This could be a real breakthrough season." Davidson is more circumspect. "He's a lottery ticket worth buying late in your draft."
