Totally wrong. The season should have started on Monday with the traditional Reds game. Another one of Bud's better ideas that simply isn't. | |

The regular season doesn't end until 3 October; with the additional wild-card game, I think the season has to go into November. Doesn't it? The whole Tokyo deal, and having some clubs not open until 6 April, just seems wrongheaded to me. |

No, it has to do with starting the season early on a Thursday (as opposed to the following Monday) so the play-offs don't roll into November. | |
