I don't think MB was as much about RS/RA as zig/zag ... 15 or so years ago, most teams were zig's to the scouting reports, so the zag was "look at stats" ... and now most teams are zag'ing ... so what's the next "zig"? I think most teams think they are doing their own new/unique/custom zig'ing :-)

Other than the A's is anyone else playing this approach to player acquisition almost exclusively?
I understand that everyone has some people who are looking at stats, but I wonder if it's a focal point for other organizations.
On a side note, I think the Dodgers are playing their own version called BIG MONEY Ball where they ignore the salary cap and simply acquire as much talent as possible.
