Blanco seems like a 4th OF to me. A useful 4th OF, but a 4th OF all the same....

Probably needs to drop a bit in his bids. Blanco will steal some PT I suspect.

Unless those stats are just misleading. Pagan's OPS w/ 2 outs RISP is .743 Late and Close .783 Overall he's .750. I wouldn't say he's outside the statistical norm for a player with his career stats. He pretty much does the same thing in "clutch situations" as he does every other time up. No measurable effect. |

Next up on my newsstand: 2012 Major League Baseball Yearbook and Fantasy Guide. It's not bad. A bit of a yearbook (concise team previews with projected lineups) and a lot of fantasy. Hitters and pitchers listed alphabetically (I'm with Rotoman and anydpro: it's the only way to go), position rankings and analysis, prospects near and far, auction drafts, snake drafts... 170 non-glossy pages of no-nonsense info. Trying to prove it's up to date, it has Albert on the cover. Wearing the Halo's cap. It doesn't pick up VMart's injury, much less VMart's replacement. But that will happen. It's only a magazine. Good for reading on the train. Or wherever. I learned this morning, just flipping the pages, that Angel Pagan "has always been clutch (.314 BA, .856 OPS career with RISP)..." Little factoids like that, picked up wherever, might make the difference when he reaches the tipping point in your auction. |
