Biggest attendance rise in the AL? The Rogers Centre. More than 5,000 per game. Kind of sad.

Terry Pendleton, a switch hitter, would frequently hit right handed vs Wakefield or Candiotti.

So Zobrist hits right-handed tonight against Dickey, and just ripped a triple. No real lefty/righty advantage against knuckleballers for most hitters. At least that's what the players say. Can we see what the historical metrics say? I assume that data is compiled? |

Closed. Which supposedly plays to a knuckler's advantage.
(I don't know if that's the case, but a hot tip one one of the countless magazines I bought said R.A. would thrive pitching indoors.) |

Was the dome open or closed? I imagine a knuckler works better in the heat, because the ball is tangibly softer and you can get a better grip. Beware of NL pitchers coming to the AL. |

I've since watched the lowlights of this game. It's very simple: his knuckler stayed up. He's lucky the damage wasn't worse.

I am. It's a long season, but I definitely am.

Those who invested in RA Dickey must be getting very nervous ...

I'm SO looking forward to him in the auction. I'm not sure if I'm in, or out, or what my price might be . . . but it's going to be fascinating. We have some Met fans (though it's an AL-only league), and we're auctioning BEFORE Opening Day, so we won't have his first start to go nuts over (up or down).

Led the league in GIDP Induced. Induced a fair number of grounders but is not in the top ten in the ratio of grounders to flies. What didn't he do well? The 2012 highlight video the Mets have put together makes no mention of him. |
