And, the 7th best AL team is now in the World Series. Yeah for three divisions and the randomness of short sample sizes. Not that I was rooting for the Yankees mind you.

What I'm not clear about, Peter, in your recent Trout post: do I now put Fielder ahead of Miggy on my MVP ballot?

P.J. Walters just threw a homer to Fielder. Did he ever.

Just noticed his K/W < 1 ... I'm impressed ... I like hitters that do this ...

Prince has a great line about hitting homers: Hitters don't hit them, pitchers throw them.

Especially when it's a fastball from Scott Feldman.

Would you trade him for Pujols, right now?

Does he earn more in the AL in that lineup? Certainly I thinks lots of inflation $ will be allocated to him. In our league that covets power it'll take 40 or >. :(

Luckily for the NL Central, they were able to keep Barmes and McGehee from leaving as well...whew! That sure helps offset some of the other losses noted by Texpope below.

I'm thinking the NL Central takes quite a hit this year.

Astros without any Pence or Bourne (and with 2013 not guaranteed, they'll probably be able to finally move Lee midyear) ... Brewers without Fielder and 50 games of Braun ... Cards without Pujols ... Cubbies without Pena (Aramis moves to Brewers) ... Pirates without Doumit (don't laugh - he had their highest OPS+ last year).

The only significant FA coming back was Beltran to the Cards.
