Suddenly woke up last night, so this might not be a lost season after all.

I am putting an $8 Jones in the hold nose and keep pile.

Slyke...I have him at $10 and am thinking the same thing. I initially had him in my "maybe" (but probably not) pile, but the more I look at him, the more likely it becomes. He looks like a pretty safe bet to do about what he did last year, and once you factor in 10% inflation or so (typical for my league) and you start looking at the rest of the 1B field, it starts making sense.

Forgot to give my sales pitch. The Evaluator is posted for free at Rotoman's site for two more days! On Monday we roll out the Projector. |

When you sort NL hitters in the Evaluator by position and 2011 earnings, you get Lyle Overbay and Brett Pill as hitters No. 25 and 26, each worth $2. When you assign the two guys at the top of the list, Pujols and Fielder, to their current teams, Brad Hawpe and Brandon Allen move into the top 26. Oops. They have to be reassigned also. You're right, Slyke. |

I have Garrett at $9 and I am keeping him. I think Alvarez is ticketed for AAA and first base is really, really weak in the NL. Really, really weak...
