Who bid 2, Larry? I'd like to say I did but am pretty sure I didn't.

Actually, I hope I didn't.

had Fausto for 3, Borowski for 15 and A-Rod for 40 but that trifecta wasn't enough to win my ridiculous league. all right, Ervin Santana didn't work out so well. ahhhh, pitching

The only thing I can see to worry about with Fausto is the sudden jump in innings (from 112, counting AAA, in 2006). But that is a worry and I've lowered my bid for him by a couple of dollars.

Here's another guy that you're probably overrating. Give me Dice-K's dominance and control numbers and I'll worry about the ERA later. I'm not saying Fausto is chopped liver, but Dice-K has alot more success behind him than Carmona's one season, even if it was in the sashimi summer sessions. If Daisuke isn't worth more than Fausto in 2008, I'll be a rally monkey's uncle.

I should be enamored with Fausto's Post All-Star stats. Instead, I keep coming back to his BABIP stat in the second half, how much of an aberration it looks like, and find myself thinking that there's a chance that Fausto earns half of what he did last year. That isn't to say I could ever bring myself to push the bid limit that low.
